Ping Ying Yen

Ping-Ying Yen is a film editor, director, and visual designer based in Taiwan, specializing in cross-media storytelling and immersive experiences. Over the past decade, she has worked across VR, narrative short films, documentaries, commercials, and series. Her edited works have been selected for major international festivals such as Venice, Tribeca, SXSW, Busan, and Tokyo Horror Film Festival, receiving multiple nominations and awards for Best Immersive Experience, Best Sound Design, and Best Film.
 

With a sharp instinct for non-linear narratives and emotional pacing, Ping-Ying often takes on roles beyond editing—such as sound design, voice acting, and post-production —seamlessly blending visual and auditory rhythms to evoke deep resonance with viewers. Her multidisciplinary background also spans illustration, visual design, and interactive exhibition, reflecting her interest in exploring the intersection between emotion, technology, and human connection.
 

Ping-Ying holds a Master’s degree in Digital Contents and Technologies from National Chengchi University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, equipping her with both creative vision and strong communication skills across production and collaboration.
 

Her future ambitions include expanding her directorial and screenwriting work, focusing on stories that explore trauma, identity, and emotional complexity—bridging sensory and cultural dimensions through art.
